The Port Dover Sailors tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the Glanbrook Rangers would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-3. A goal by Joel Tivanian put Glanbrook up 4-2 in the third period, but Port Dover pulled to within one on Nick Deluca's tally 19:03 into the third period. The Rangers' penalty kill excelled, as Glanbrook gave up one goal despite allowing 15 power plays. The Rangers forced their penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up 11 minors and one major for 37 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 26.0 minutes per game Glanbrook had been spending in the box. Others who scored for Glanbrook included Colin Elder, Derek Vanenberg, and Cole Anderson, who each put in one. In addition, Glanbrook received assists from Kyle Dumais, Nicolas Kuiper, and Brandon Elliot, who each chipped in one. The Sailors excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Port Dover kept the Rangers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Matthew Venturelli made 28 saves on 31 shots. The Sailors were helped by Matt Vansickle, who racked up one goal. Vansickle scored 15:02 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Glanbrook. Steve Parker assisted on the tally. Port Dover also got a goal from Mitchell Moriarity as well. Port Dover's Nathan McKinnon stopped 23 shots out of the 27 that he faced. The Sailors ended with 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major. Port Dover ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Justin Brandon was ejected from the game.
