Dundas downs Simcoe, 4-1

Thomas Dowling registered one point to lead the Dundas Blues to a 4-1 victory over the Simcoe Storm.

Dundas excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Blues' offense rang up 38 shots on Simcoe's net.

Dundas additionally got points from Cody Carey, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Jason Campbell, who also tallied one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Dundas also got a goal from Cam McConnell as well. Other players who recorded assists for Dundas were Branden Graffi, who had two and Dan Pelosini, Greg Harley, and Brayden Knott, who each chipped in one.

The Storm racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with nine minors and one major for 33 minutes in penalty time. Simcoe had been averaging 24.0 minutes in penalties per game. The Storm's offense operated below they season average. Simcoe puts an average of 3.4 pucks into the net per game.

The Storm were led by Bryce Cadwell, who scored the team's only goal. Cadwell scored 1:04 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Dundas.

Dundas' Dan Davies stopped 24 shots out of the 25 that he faced. The Blues totaled 19 minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and went 1-for-8 on the power play. For Dundas, Cosimo Amore was ejected from the game. Jordan Witt rejected 34 shots on goal for Simcoe. The Storm ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Justin Tatrie was ejected from the game.
