Huge game by MacInness boosts Glanbrook over Port Dover, 8-4

The Glanbrook Rangers' Keifer MacInness had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing two assists in his team's 8-4 win over the Port Dover Sailors.

MacInness' tallies came at 2:06 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Glanbrook and 6:45 into the first to make the score 3-0 Glanbrook.

Port Dover's power play was ineffective against Glanbrook's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

The Rangers stifled the Sailors' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Glanbrook forced Port Dover goalie Bob Wilson to work between the pipes, taking 42 shots. The Rangers' goal total was higher than their season average. This season, Glanbrook averages 3.8 goals per contest.

Glanbrook also got points from Drew Jedrzejewicz, who also grabbed three goals and one assist. Glanbrook also got a goal from Joel Tivanian as well. More assists for Glanbrook came via Kyle Dumais, Anthony Whitwell, and Nick Deluca, who contributed one a piece and Curtis Edwards and Jay Creen, who each chipped in two.

The Sailors were helped by Michael Almas, who racked up one goal. Almas scored 7:36 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Glanbrook. Taz Myers assisted on the tally. Port Dover additionally got points from Myers, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Camden Freeman also scored for Port Dover. In addition, Port Dover received assists from Ricky Johnston and Dalton Alford, who contributed one a piece.

Mathew Venturelli made 26 saves for the Rangers on 30 shots. Glanbrook incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Wilson recorded 34 saves for Port Dover. The Sailors incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
