Even with Conner Robinson's two points, the Simcoe Storm lost 5-2 to the Hagersville Hawks. In the losing effort, Simcoe was sparked by Robinson, who registered two goals. Robinson scored the first of his two goals at 6:42 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Simcoe. Dan Stewart provided the assist. Robinson's next tally made the score 2-1 Simcoe with 7:21 left in the second period. Braden Roberts picked up the assist. Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 11:15 into the third period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts. Hagersville kept the Storm's goalie busy throughout the game, and Avery Allen made 46 saves on 51 shots. The Hawks were led by Nick Sherwood, who had one goal and one assist. Sherwood scored 4:27 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Hagersville. Derek Friesen provided the assist. Hagersville additionally got points from Aleck Boyd, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Hagersville also got a goal from Brad Hornby as well. In addition, Hagersville received assists from Clayton Millard, Mitch Green, and Daniel Medeiros, who each chipped in one. Simcoe excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. More assists for Simcoe came via Patrice Fozo, who had one. Matt Murphy made 22 saves for Hagersville on 24 shots. The Hawks ended with 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major. Hagersville ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Boyd was ejected from the game. The Storm totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play. For Simcoe, Fozo and Jon Witt were ejected from the contest.
