The Port Stanley Sailors survived a determined comeback attempt by the Lucan Irish on the way to a 7-6 win. A goal by Zachary Zinga put Port Stanley up 7-4 in the third period, but Lucan pulled to within one on Zach Beaumont's tally 11:31 into the third period. The Sailors got the win on the strength of a great game by Findley Brandon, who had one goal and two assists. Brandon scored 18:07 into the second period to make the score 5-4 Port Stanley. Michael Woolley provided the assist. Port Stanley's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Lucan power plays. The Irish were unable to stop the Sailors from sending pucks towards the net, and Port Stanley eventually piled up 35 shots on goal. The Sailors found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Port Stanley averages 4.3 goals per game. Port Stanley also got points from Tanner Turley, who also registered one goal and one assist, Tyler Beaulieu, who also tallied two goals and one assist, and Josh DenOtter, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Port Stanley also had goals scored by Alex Weaver and Connor Tamborro, who scored one goal each. More assists for Port Stanley came via Mark Brisson, who had two and Andrew Yurek and Dalton Good, who each chipped in one. Lucan excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in nine chances. The Irish forced the Sailors goalie Ricky Corkum to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots. Lucan's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as the Irish finished with 44 penalty minutes. Lucan additionally got points from Nathan Marcil, who also had one goal and one assist and Andrew Purdom, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Lucan included Mike Worby and Kody Tremblay, who each put in one. In addition, Lucan received assists from Keiron Cobban, who had two, Mitch Smith, who had three, and Nik Petrie, Andrew Reichert, and Mitch Morin, who contributed one a piece. Ricky Corkum made 31 saves for Port Stanley on 37 shots. The Sailors incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Lucan's Andrew Gantner stopped 28 shots out of the 35 that he faced.
