A stellar performance between the pipes by Jake Fonti helped the Thamesford Trojans defeat the Port Stanley Sailors, 3-1. Thamesford was paced by Kyle Walker, who racked up one goal and one assist. Walker scored 6:51 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Thamesford. Dakota Hill provided the assist. The Trojans stifled Port Stanley's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Thamesford's offense rang up 51 shots on the Sailors' net. Thamesford additionally got points from Stavros Mandrapilias, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Thamesford also got a goal from James Toye as well. Other players who recorded assists for Thamesford were Marcus Gverzdys, who had one. Port Stanley's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on 11 Thamesford power plays. The Sailors' offense operated below they season average. Port Stanley averages 4.4 goals per game. The Sailors were led by Zachary Zinga, who scored the team's only goal.
