SOJHL     Fri, Jan 17, 2014

Justin Clark was all over the ice for the Lambeth Lancers, as he tallied two goals in Lambeth's 4-1 win over the Aylmer Spitfires.

Clark scored at 1:34 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Lambeth and again while on the power play 4:12 into the first to make the score 2-0 Lambeth.

The Lancers' penalty kill excelled, as Lambeth gave up zero goals despite allowing 10 power plays.

The Spitfires were unable to stop Lambeth from sending pucks towards the net, and the Lancers eventually piled up 33 shots on goal. Lambeth could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 36 minutes in penalties during the game.

Lambeth also had goals scored by Keith Arnold and Mitch Thomas, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Lambeth were Warren Hargraves, who had two and Austin Blais, Ryan Pennington, Kale Corbeth, Mike Golinowski, Nick Griffin, and Jake Alkins, who contributed one a piece.

Aylmer could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Spitfires average 3.6 goals per game.

Aylmer was led by Matthew Reese, who scored the team's only goal. Reese scored 14:02 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Lambeth. Eric Nemeth provided the assist.
