Lambeth boosted by Ferrington's play in net, beats Thamesford 4-1

The Lambeth Lancers relied on the sparkling performance of Logan Ferrington in net to grab a 4-1 win against the Thamesford Trojans.

Lambeth's penalty kill excelled, as the Lancers gave up zero goals despite allowing seven power plays.

Lambeth was sparked by Mitch Thomas, who had one goal. Thomas scored 6:18 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Lambeth. Riley Gilmore assisted on the tally.

The Lancers stifled Thamesford's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Lambeth also got points from Justin Clark, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Lambeth included Brandon Robbins and Randy Hicks, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Lambeth were Warren Hargraves, who had two and Nick Griffin, Jake Alkins, and Matt Schurr, who each chipped in one.

The Trojans' offense operated below they season average. Thamesford puts an average of 5.1 pucks into the net per game. The Trojans kept Lambeth's goalie busy throughout the game, and Ferrington made 53 saves on 54 shots.

Thamesford was led by Nicholas Moniz, who scored the team's only goal. Moniz scored 18:08 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Thamesford. Stavros Mandrapilias picked up the assist.

The Lancers incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. The Trojans' Jake Fonti stopped 24 shots out of the 28 that he faced. Thamesford incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. The Trojans ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Mandrapilias was ejected from the game.
