The Dorchester Dolphins tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the Aylmer Spitfires held on for a 3-2 victory. A goal by Kyle Dedecker put Aylmer up 3-0 in the first period, but Dorchester pulled to within one on Tyler Vere's tally 2:44 into the third period. Ryan Stapleton was all over the ice for the Spitfires, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Stapleton scored 3:34 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Aylmer. Eric Nemeth provided the assist. Aylmer's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as the Spitfires finished with 28 penalty minutes. Aylmer also got a goal from Cameron Mancini as well. Other players who recorded assists for Aylmer were Josh Houston, who had two. The Dolphins' offense operated below they season average. Dorchester puts an average of 5.3 pucks into the net per game. The Dolphins forced Aylmer goalie Dan Black to work between the pipes, taking 42 shots. Dan Black made 40 saves for the Spitfires on 42 shots. Aylmer registered one goal on four power play opportunities. Colton James recorded 16 saves for Dorchester. The Dolphins incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors.
