The Dorchester Dolphins had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-1 win over the Exeter Hawks. Dorchester got the win on the strength of a great game by Gus Ford, who had two goals and two assists. Ford scored the first of his two goals at 13:15 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Dorchester. Brendon O Shaughnessy assisted on the tally. Ford's next tally made the score 5-1 Dorchester with 1:22 left in the second period. Ben Lawton picked up the assist. Exeter forced its penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up 10 minors and two majors for 40 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 27.0 minutes per game the Hawks had been spending in the box. Exeter was led by Carter Austin (FAPM), who scored the team's only goal. Austin (FAPM) scored on the power play 8:54 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Dorchester. A slashing penalty on Ford had put the Hawks on the power play.
