Mt.Brydges boosted by Harrimand-Duke's play in net, beats Exeter 3-1

Andrew Harrimand-Duke had a standout game with 43 saves, and the Mt.Brydges Bulldogs beat the Exeter Hawks 3-1.

Exeter's power play was ineffective against Mt.Brydges' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

The Bulldogs were led by Cameron Dewan, who had one goal. Dewan scored on the power play 14:18 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Mt.Brydges. Mt.Brydges had gotten the advantage when the Hawks' Chiristopher Pfaff was sent off for interference. Tony Lindner picked up the assist.

The Bulldogs excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. Mt.Brydges kept Exeter's goalie busy throughout the game, and Dylan Hoover made 32 saves on 35 shots.

Others who scored for Mt.Brydges included Sean Candler and Spencer Wilson, who scored one goal each. More assists for Mt.Brydges came via Hayden Trbizan, Matt Rinker, Trevor Smith, and Andrew Smith (APM), who contributed one a piece.

The Bulldogs were unable to stop the Hawks from sending pucks towards the net, and Exeter eventually piled up 44 shots on goal.

The Hawks were led by Joe Dykstra, who scored the team's only goal. Dykstra scored the first of his two goals at 19:33 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Exeter. Jesse McIntyre assisted on the tally. Dykstra's next tally made the score 2-2 with 1:24 left in the third period.

Mt.Brydges incurred 24 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Exeter incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
