Lucan survives penalties, beats Mt.Brydges, 3-0

Despite having to fight off several power plays, the Lucan Irish were able to defeat the Mt.Brydges Bulldogs, 3-0.

Lucan was led by Dylan Moss, who registered one goal. Moss scored 3:40 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Lucan. Dylan Murray assisted on the tally.

The Irish's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on nine Mt.Brydges power plays. Lucan was hit hard by penalties in the contest, and totaled 11 minors and one major for 27 minutes in penalty time.

Lucan also got points from Mitch Smith, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Keiron Cobban also scored for Lucan. Other players who recorded assists for Lucan were Nik Petrie, who had two and Nathan Marcil and Colin Hartwick, who contributed one a piece.

Mt.Brydges could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game.

Joe Frustaglia recorded 22 saves for the Irish. Lucan registered two goals on seven power play opportunities. Team's Kody Tremblay and Andrew Reichert were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game. The Bulldogs' Patrick Maziarz stopped 25 shots out of the 28 that he faced. For Mt.Brydges, Billy Morris was ejected from the game.
