Huge game by McLennan boosts Thamesford over Lambeth, 5-2Lambeth Arena Sun, Nov 17, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The Thamesford Trojans' Andrew McLennan had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing three assists in his team's 5-2 win over the Lambeth Lancers. McLennan got on the board by slotting home a goal 9:52 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Thamesford. Kyle Walker assisted on the tally. McLennan dished an assist on Walker's goal that made the score 2-0 Thamesford at 11:23 into the first period. He then added assists on Walker's goal at 6:14 into the third and on Adam Levine's goal at 12:34 into the third.Thamesford's offense rang up 42 shots on Lambeth's net. The Trojans' power play was punchless, and failed to score a single goal despite having 11 power play opportunities. Thamesford also got points from Walker, who also had two goals and one assist. Thamesford also got a goal from Stavros Mandrapilias as well. In addition, Thamesford received assists from Marcus Gverzdys, who had two and Liam Billings and Nicholas Moniz, who contributed one a piece. The Lancers stifled Thamesford's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Lambeth was held below its usual level of production. The Lancers put an average of 5.5 pucks into the net per game. Lambeth's normally stingy defense allowed more goals than usual. The Lancers average 1.9 goal allowed per game. Lambeth could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 34 minutes in penalties during the game. The Lancers were helped by Warren Hargraves, who tallied one goal. Hargraves scored on the power play 8:04 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Thamesford. Lambeth had gotten the advantage when the Trojans' Billings was sent off for interference. Kale Corbeth provided the assist. Trevor Daynes also scored for Lambeth. More assists for Lambeth came via Ryan Pennington and Jake Alkins, who each chipped in one. Alex Hutcheson recorded 28 saves for Thamesford. The Trojans incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Lancers' JP Trudell stopped 37 shots out of the 42 that he faced. Lambeth registered one goal on one power play opportunities.
