Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as the Lucan Irish defeated the Thamesford Trojans in a shootout 6-5 (3-2 SO). The shootout featured 12 attempts between both teams. Thamesford got shootout goals from Stavros Mandrapilias and Liam Billings. Lucan's other shootout goals were scored by Zach Beaumont and Dylan Murray.The Irish overcame a three-goal deficit to capture the victory. Lucan trailed 4-1 after a goal by the Trojans' Kyle Walker at 12:14 in the second period. The Irish tied things up at 5-5 on a goal by Beaumont at 18:59 in the third period. Mike Worby was all over the ice for Lucan, as he registered two goals in the win. Worby scored on the power play at 10:19 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Thamesford and again while 2:40 into the third to make the score 4-2 Thamesford. The Irish's offense rang up 40 shots on Thamesford's net. Lucan additionally got points from Murray, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Beaumont, who also had one goal and two assists. Lucan also got a goal from Mitch Smith as well. Other players who recorded assists for Lucan were Nathan Marcil, who had four and Nik Petrie, Keiron Cobban, and Dylan Brooks, who contributed one a piece. The Trojans forced Lucan goalie Tyler Beattie to work between the pipes, taking 43 shots. Thamesford also got points from James Toye, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Adam Levine, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. In addition, Thamesford received assists from Alex Lumani, Liam Carson, Dakota Hill, and Mitch Davies, who each chipped in one. Tyler Beattie made 38 saves for the Irish on 43 shots. Lucan incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with five minors. For the Irish, Jake Morin was ejected from the game. Thamesford's Jake Fonti stopped 34 shots out of the 39 that he faced. The Trojans incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
