Kerr nets hat trick, leads Dorchester to 7-2 win over Mt.Brydges

Tyler Kerr lifted the Dorchester Dolphins to a 7-2 victory with a hat trick against the Mt.Brydges Bulldogs.

Kerr's first goal came 10:06 into the first period. He then added goals at 17:35 into the first and at 5:57 into the third.

Dorchester's penalty kill excelled, as the Dolphins gave up one goal despite allowing 10 power plays.

Mt.Brydges was unable to stop Dorchester from sending pucks towards the net, and the Dolphins eventually piled up 54 shots on goal. Dorchester was effective with a man advantage, and put in two goals while on the power play.

Others who scored for Dorchester included Patrick Freel, who had two and Liam Gillooly and Cale Duberry, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Dorchester were Shayne Rhyno, Connor McKay, Jesiah Sweetland, Connor Lovell, Brett Dzyngel, Brendon O Shaughnessy, and Ben Lawton, who contributed one a piece and Jordan Fuller, Brady Veroughstraete, and Bryan McCauley, who each chipped in two.

The Bulldogs' offense rang up 31 shots on the Dolphins' net.

Mt.Brydges was led by Grant Duffield, who registered one goal. Duffield scored on the power play 2:44 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Dorchester. A too many men penalty on McKay had put the Bulldogs on the power play. Robert McTaggart assisted on the tally. Hayden Trbizan also scored for Mt.Brydges. More assists for Mt.Brydges came via Cole Chilvers and Robert Mapes, who contributed one a piece.

Craig Wood rejected 29 shots on goal for Dorchester. The Dolphins incurred 26 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Mt.Brydges' Patrick Maziarz stopped 47 shots out of the 54 that he faced. The Bulldogs incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
