The Lambeth Lancers and the Exeter Hawks were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Lambeth made the most of its opportunities and won, 5-3. No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Ryan Pennington at 10:07 of the second period. The Lancers' penalty kill excelled, as Lambeth gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays. The Lancers were paced by Mitch Thomas, who finished with one goal. Thomas scored 11:54 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Lambeth. Justin Clark picked up the assist. Lambeth forced Exeter goalie Joe Metzger to work between the pipes, taking 56 shots. Lambeth also got points from Tanner Smith, who also registered one goal and one assist, Pennington, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Clark, who also had one goal and two assists to lead the team in points.
