The Dorchester Dolphins had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-2 win over the Exeter Hawks. Dorchester was paced by Matt Cormier, who had one goal. Cormier scored 7:19 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Dorchester. Jamie Brzozowski assisted on the tally. The Dolphins kept Exeter's goalie busy throughout the game, and Joe Metzger made 40 saves on 46 shots. The Hawks' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven Dorchester power plays. Exeter was led by Carter Austin (FAPM), who racked up two goals. Austin (FAPM) scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 15:38 into the second period to make the score 5-1 Dorchester. The Hawks had gotten the advantage when Dorchester's Fuller was sent off for checking from behind. Cody Kropf picked up the assist. Austin (FAPM)'s next tally on the power play made the score 6-2 Dorchester with 5:29 left in the third period. Exeter had gained a power play chance when Tyler Kerr was whistled for head contact. Cam Dykstra assisted on the tally. The Dolphins' Craig Wood stopped 20 shots out of the 22 that he faced. Dorchester incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. For the Dolphins, Fuller was ejected from the game. The Hawks incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
