Thamesford rides Brown to victory over North Middlesex, 4-1

A stellar performance between the pipes by Aidan Brown helped the Thamesford Trojans defeat the North Middlesex Stars, 4-1.

Thamesford's penalty kill excelled, as the Trojans gave up one goal despite allowing eight power plays.

Thamesford was led by Fabio Galante, who racked up one goal and one assist. Galante scored on the power play 19:25 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Thamesford. A tripping penalty on Mack Graham had put the Trojans on the power play. Andrew McLennan picked up the assist.

Thamesford's offense rang up 74 shots on North Middlesex's net.

Thamesford also got points from McLennan, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Thamesford also got a goal from Dakota Hill as well. In addition, Thamesford received assists from Marcus Gverzdys, Liam Carson, and Kyle Walker, who each chipped in one.

The Stars were led by Nolan Vlasman, who scored the team's only goal. Vlasman scored on the power play 15:24 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Thamesford. North Middlesex had gained a power play chance when Justin Cooper was whistled for roughing after whistle. Dylan Carroll provided the assist.

Aidan Brown made 25 saves for the Trojans on 26 shots. Thamesford incurred 24 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Dane Gubbels rejected 70 shots on goal for the Stars. North Middlesex incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. The Stars ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Blake Reed was ejected from the game.
