Brooks leads Paris over Wellesley, 7-2

Behind a great game by Richard Brooks, who had two goals and three assists, the Paris Mounties defeated the Wellesley Applejacks, 7-2.

Brooks scored at 9:52 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Paris and again while 13:01 into the second to make the score 4-0 Paris.

Paris excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. The Mounties forced Wellesley goalie Josh Heer to work between the pipes, taking 48 shots. Paris found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. The Mounties average 4.3 goals per game.

Paris additionally got points from Scott Sippel, who also racked up two goals and one assist and Ian Fowler, who also grabbed two goals and one assist. Zack Skubnik also scored for Paris. In addition, Paris received assists from Brodie Smith, who had one, Brady Wheelans, who had two, and Tye Calder, who had four.

The Applejacks could not produce up to they normal offensive output. Wellesley puts an average of 4.9 pucks into the net per game. The Applejacks' offense rang up 37 shots on Paris' net.

Wellesley was led by Luke Rose, who finished with one goal and one assist. Rose scored 11:11 into the third period to make the score 6-2 Paris. Wellesley also got a goal from Blake Hetherington as well. More assists for Wellesley came via Cal Jefferies, who had one.

Zach Shompe made 35 saves for the Mounties on 37 shots. Paris incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Heer rejected 41 shots on goal for the Applejacks. Wellesley incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
