Kyle Chaney netted a hat trick to lead the Burford Bulldogs over the Delhi Travellers, 8-3. Chaney notched his first tally 15:14 into the first period. He then added goals at 1:22 into the second and at 15:56 into the second.Burford's penalty kill excelled, as the Bulldogs gave up one goal despite allowing eight power plays. Burford forced Delhi's goalies to work all game long, finishing with 38 shots and forcing 30 saves. Jordan Ironside made 10 stops and Nick Heath made 20. The Bulldogs outdid their season average for goals scored. Burford averages 3.3 goals per game. The Bulldogs took advantage of the Travellers' penalties, tallying three goals off of four power play opportunities. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with three goals. Burford additionally got points from Jesse Brooks, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Burford included Hugh Carson, who had two and Tommy Smith and Peter Janeck, who each put in one. More assists for Burford came via Chris Grand, who had one and Austin Elkin, J.J. Harland, and Adam Harris, who each chipped in two. Delhi's offense rang up 33 shots on Burford's net. The Travellers were helped by Connor Magwood, who registered two goals. Magwood scored the first of his two goals at 11:35 into the first period to make the score 1-1. New Player provided the assist. Magwood's next tally made the score 5-2 Burford with 15:27 left in the second period. Player assisted on the tally. Delhi also got a goal from Josh Bradshaw as well. Other players who recorded assists for Delhi were Steve Barati and Mak McLean, who contributed one a piece. Nick Trask made 30 saves for the Bulldogs on 33 shots. Burford ended with 21 minutes in penalty time with eight minors and one major. Team's Chaney and Kolby Francis were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game. Delhi incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
