Tavistock survives Ayr comeback, wins 4-3

The Ayr Centennials tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the Tavistock Braves would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-3.

Tavistock made the score 4-2 on a goal by Jordan Ritsma at 19:13 in the third period, and Ayr got as close as 4-3 when Brendan Schaefer scored 19:52 into the third period.

Tavistock also got a goal from Jordan Felix as well. In addition, Tavistock received assists from Sean Leslie, who had two and Jeremy Munro, Matthew Lupton, Tyson Zehr AP, Angus Rowland AP, and Jason Miller, who contributed one a piece.

The Centennials' offense rang up 38 shots on the Braves' net.

Ayr additionally got points from Eric Hackborn, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Ayr were Andrew Richard, who had two and Adam Fisher and Jake Whibbs, who each chipped in one.

Jason Miller made 35 saves for Tavistock on 38 shots. The Braves incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Ayr's Mitch Figueirdo stopped 26 shots out of the 29 that he faced. The Centennials incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
