Paris' Wheelans deadly on offense in 4-1 win against Woodstock

The Paris Mounties relied on the scoring touch of Brady Wheelans, who netted two goals, to beat the Woodstock Navy Vets, 4-1.

Wheelans scored at 12:39 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Paris and again while on the power play 6:16 into the second to make the score 2-0 Paris.

Paris excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Mounties' offense rang up 54 shots on Woodstock's net.

Paris also had goals scored by Graham Kitching and Hunter Moore, who scored one goal each. In addition, Paris received assists from Chad Herrington, who had two and Zack Skubnik, Tye Calder, Jordan MacKenzie, Scott Sippel, and Ian Fowler, who contributed one a piece.

Zach Schompe rejected 19 shots on goal for Paris. The Mounties incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Michael Roefs recorded 50 saves for the Navy Vets. Woodstock incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
