Masters leads Paris to shutout victory over WoodstockWoodstock Community Center Fri, Nov 29, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
Andrew Masters recorded a shutout against the Woodstock Navy Vets as the Paris Mounties picked up a 3-0 win. Paris was sparked by Ian Fowler, who tallied one goal and one assist. Fowler scored 3:14 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Paris. Brady Wheelans assisted on the tally. The Mounties stifled Woodstock's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Paris' defense was surprisingly good. The Mounties gives up 2.4 goals on average per game. Paris forced the Navy Vets goalie Patrick Tanner to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots. Paris also got points from Wheelans, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Matthew Small also scored for Paris. More assists for Paris came via Zack Skubnik, Graham Kitching, Richard Brooks, and Brodie Smith, who contributed one a piece. Woodstock was held below its usual level of production. The Navy Vets put an average of 2.5 pucks into the net per game. Andrew Masters made 28 saves for the Mounties on 28 shots. Paris totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play. For the Mounties, Jacob Norcott was ejected from the game. Tanner rejected 33 shots on goal for Woodstock. The Navy Vets totaled nine minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and went 0-for-4 on the power play. Woodstock ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Mackenzie Scott was ejected from the game. |
