Tavistock completes comeback, beats Delhi, 4-3Tavistock Fri, Nov 15, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The Tavistock Braves climbed out of a two-goal hole to beat the Delhi Travellers, 4-3. Tavistock never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Braves was down 2-0 after a goal by Delhi's Michael Thomlison at 10:03 in the first period. Tavistock tied things up at 3-3 on a power play goal by Mack Gingerich at 1:36 in the second period. The Braves scored the game winner on the power play at 2:08 in the second period on a goal by Gingerich. Gingerich had two goals to lead Tavistock to victory. The Braves put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Travellers to score on any of their three power plays. Tavistock also got a goal from Josh Bickell as well. More assists for Tavistock came via Jordan Ritsma, who had two and Sean Leslie, Matthew Lupton, and Charlie Irwin, who contributed one a piece. Kyle Eggleston also scored for Delhi. Other players who recorded assists for Delhi were Nick Cole, Steve Barati, Mak McLean, and Gavin Crandall, who each chipped in one. Jason Miller rejected 20 shots on goal for Tavistock. The Braves totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 2-for-4 on the power play. Nick Heath recorded 21 saves for Delhi. The Travellers ended with 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major.
