Corpus Christi survives Wichita Falls comeback, wins 4-2

The Corpus Christi IceRays, who led by three goals at one point, survived a comeback attempt by Corpus Christi and clinched a 4-2 victory.

The IceRays led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when Corpus Christi's Martin Hojbjerg's scored at 19:33 in the third period to put the IceRays up 5-2.

Wes Michaud had a great game for Corpus Christi, netting two goals. Michaud scored on the power play at 12:52 into the first period to make the score 1-1 and again while 7:24 into the second to make the score 2-1 Corpus Christi.

The IceRays stifled the Wichita Falls Wildcats' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Corpus Christi additionally got points from Tony Roisum, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Jake Durflinger also scored for Corpus Christi. More assists for Corpus Christi came via Nick Monfils, Caleb OBrien, Brad LeLievre, and Joe Chitwood, who contributed one a piece.

Wichita Falls was helped by hogan davidson, who had one goal. Davidson scored 10:17 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Wichita Falls. Will Vosejpka provided the assist. Wichita Falls also got a goal from Josh Haverstrom as well. Other players who recorded assists for Wichita Falls were Matt Koch, Jake Townsend, and Evan Okeley, who each chipped in one.

Corpus Christi's Forbes Ploszaj stopped 25 shots out of the 27 that he faced. The IceRays totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 1-for-4 on the power play. Chase Munroe rejected 16 shots on goal for the Wildcats. Wichita Falls totaled 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major and went 0-for-3 on the power play.
