Fairbanks overcame a three-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Ice Dogs trailed 4-1 after a goal by Kenai River's Matt Rudin at 18:25 in the second period. Fairbanks tied things up at 5-5 on a goal by Gustav Berglund at 17:02 in the third period.

Johnny Mueller was all over the ice for the Ice Dogs, as he tallied two goals in the win. Mueller's tallies came at 12:54 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Kenai River and 18:58 into the second to make the score 4-2 Kenai River.
