Bismarck falls to Minot in overtime, 4-3 (OT)VFW Sports Center Wed, Nov 27, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The Minot Minotauros' Tim Donohue scored 4:28 into overtime to beat the Bismarck Bobcats, 4-3 (OT). Donohue had a great game for Minot, netting two goals. The Minotauros stifled Bismarck's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Minot relied on a core group of players for most of its offense, as Jadin Martin, Donohue and Jon Lizotte took 13 of the team's 21 shots. Minot also got a goal from Alexander Kasitsyn as well. Other players who recorded assists for Minot were Colton Kramer, Max Pernhem, Michael Bigelbach, Krisztian Nagy, Wesley Iverson, Scott Smoot, and Jacob Howie, who each chipped in one. The Bobcats were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 28 penalty minutes. Bismarck was helped by Stanislav Dzakhov, who registered one goal. Dzakhov scored 13:29 into the third period to make the score 3-3. Filip Starzynski picked up the assist. Bismarck also had goals scored by Tony German and Evan Giesler, who each put in one. In addition, Bismarck received assists from Tanner Salsberry, who had two and Scott Albertoni, Joonas Huovinen, and Cullen Willox, who contributed one a piece. Brandon Wildung rejected 22 shots on goal for the Minotauros. Minot incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Albertoni recorded 17 saves for the Bobcats. Bismarck registered zero goals on four power play opportunities.
