Wenatchee squeaks by Michigan, 4-2

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Wenatchee Wild escaped with a 4-2 victory over the Michigan Warriors.

Wenatchee gained the winning advantage on a goal by Joseph Kaszupski 4:07 into the second period and hung on until final buzzer.

Trey Bradley had two goals to lead the Wild to victory. Bradley's tallies came at 13:56 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Wenatchee and on the power play 11:29 into the second to make the score 3-1 Wenatchee.

Wenatchee put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Michigan to score on any of its three power plays. The Wild put 33 shots on net during the contest, more than the 28.3 they average per game.

Wenatchee also got points from Troy Loggins, who also had one goal and one assist. In addition, Wenatchee received assists from Parker Tuomie, Gadel Gumerov, Nicholas Rivera, Matthew Nuttle, and Sam Becker, who contributed one a piece.

The 30 shots that the Warriors put on net surpassed Michigan's average of 25.3 shots per game this season.

The Warriors were helped by Connor Lyons, who tallied one goal. Lyons scored 15:33 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Jon Farkas provided the assist. Michigan also got a goal from Wes Guenther as well. Other players who recorded assists for Michigan were Joshua Shellman, who had one.

Gustaf Johansson rejected 28 shots on goal for Wenatchee. The Wild incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Dillion Kelley recorded 29 saves for Michigan. The Warriors ended with 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major.
