Maurin Bouvet tallied two points to lead the Corpus Christi IceRays to a 3-1 victory over the Lone Star Brahmas. Corpus Christi's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as the IceRays finished with 20 penalty minutes. Corpus Christi also got points from Jake Durflinger, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Lucas Bennett, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, Corpus Christi received assists from Jason Lem, Nick Felan, and Lucas McDiarmid, who each chipped in one. Lone Star put 23 shots on net during the contest, more than the 15.6 it averages per game. The Brahmas were led by Matt Lison, who scored the team's only goal. Lison scored 17:29 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Lone Star. Liam Stirtzinger provided the assist. Ben Myers recorded 22 saves for Corpus Christi. The IceRays registered zero goals on zero power play opportunities. TJ Black made 25 saves for Lone Star on 28 shots. The Brahmas totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play.
