Janesville rides Halladay to victory over Coulee Region, 4-1

Logan Halladay had a standout game with 42 saves, and the Janesville Jets beat the Coulee Region Chill 4-1.

Janesville was led by Kyle Patava, who tallied one goal. Patava scored 18:28 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Janesville. Brandon Schultz picked up the assist.

With 31 shots on target during the contest, the Jets exceeded the 23.7 shots they average per game this year.

Janesville additionally got points from Carson Vance, who also had one goal and one assist and Michael Louria, who also racked up two goals and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, Janesville received assists from Zach Avolio, who had two and Jordan Himley, Drew Callin, and Cole Pierce, who each chipped in one.

Coulee Region excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Chill's offense rang up 43 shots on Janesville's net.

Coulee Region was led by Dunk Abbott, who scored the team's only goal. Abbott scored on the power play 11:16 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Janesville. The Chill earned a power play opportunity when Vance was put in the box for interference. Gordon Wells provided the assist.

The Jets incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Coulee Region's Blake Cates stopped 27 shots out of the 30 that he faced. The Chill incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
