The MN Wilderness Wilderness gutted out a close 3-2 win against the Minot Minotauros. Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and John May secured the win for MN Wilderness with a goal in the third period. The Wilderness were led by May, who racked up one goal and one assist. May scored 14:45 into the third period to make the score 3-2 MN Wilderness. Michael Covach picked up the assist. MN Wilderness stifled Minot's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. MN Wilderness also got points from Covach, who also had one goal and one assist. Terry Leibo also scored for MN Wilderness. Other players who recorded assists for MN Wilderness were Thomas Lindstrom, who had three. The 30 shots that the Minotauros put on net surpassed Minot's average of 23.6 shots per game this season. The Minotauros were helped by Cameron Rowat, who finished with one goal. Rowat scored 2:20 into the third period to make the score 1-1. Minot also got a goal from Johnny Walker as well. In addition, Minot received assists from Wesley Iverson, who had one. Kasimir Kaskisuo made 28 saves for the Wilderness on 30 shots. MN Wilderness incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Brandon Wildung rejected 26 shots on goal for Minot. The Minotauros incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. |
