Drew Weigman had a standout game with 27 saves, and the Brookings Blizzard beat the Bismarck Bobcats 2-1.

Brookings was led by Eric Brenk, who tallied one goal. Brenk scored 19:50 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Brookings. Nick DeCenzo picked up the assist.

The Blizzard excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The 39 shots that Brookings put on net surpassed the Blizzard's average of 27.1 shots per game this season. Brookings could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 28 minutes in penalties during the game.

Jared Goudreau also scored for Brookings. Other players who recorded assists for Brookings were Brandon Parker, Evan Hesse, and Russ Jordan, who each chipped in one.

Bismarck could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Bobcats average 3.1 goals per game. Bismarck could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 20 minutes in penalties during the game.

The Bobcats were led by Stanislav Dzakhov, who scored the team's only goal. Dzakhov scored 1:17 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Bismarck. Brendan Harris assisted on the tally.

The Blizzard registered one goal on four power play opportunities. For Brookings, Goudreau was ejected from the game. Bismarck's Aaron Nelson stopped 37 shots out of the 39 that he faced.
