MN Wilderness downs Minot in overtime, 2-1 (OT)

Michael Covach gave the MN Wilderness Wilderness a 2-1 (OT) victory over the Minot Minotauros when he scored 2:26 into the extra period.

MN Wilderness was led by Covach, who tallied one goal.

The Wilderness forced Minot goalie Brandon Wildung to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots.

Billy Exell also scored for MN Wilderness. In addition, MN Wilderness received assists from Terry Leibo, Tyler Hart, and Dominik Tiffels, who each chipped in one.

The Minotauros failed to reach their usual level of shot production, putting 18 pucks on goal after averaging 23.6 shots per game this season.

Minot was led by Blake Aguilar, who scored the team's only goal. Aguilar scored 3:25 into the third period to make the score 1-1. Scott Dornbrock picked up the assist.

Kasimir Kaskisuo rejected 17 shots on goal for MN Wilderness. The Wilderness incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Wildung recorded 32 saves for the Minotauros. Minot totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play.
