Fairbanks downs Coulee Region, 3-1Big Dipper Ice Arena Fri, Oct 11, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
David Kaplan had one point to lead the Fairbanks Ice Dogs to a 3-1 victory over the Coulee Region Chill. Fairbanks excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Ice Dogs put 36 shots on net during the contest, more than the 32.2 they average per game. Fairbanks also got a goal from Tayler Munson as well. More assists for Fairbanks came via Wyatt Ege, Victor Munter, Nick Hinz, Viktor Liljegren, Kyle Lee, and Lonnie Clary, who each chipped in one. Coulee Region stifled Fairbanks' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Chill were led by Jesse Tredinnick, who scored the team's only goal. Tredinnick scored short handed 6:50 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Coulee Region. Coulee Region was on a disadvantage when John Regnart went off the ice for hooking. Sean Kalbak assisted on the tally. Patrick Munson recorded 24 saves for the Ice Dogs. Fairbanks incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Chill's Blake Cates stopped 33 shots out of the 35 that he faced. Coulee Region incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. |
