Wenatchee holds on for 3-2 win against Minot

The Minot Minotauros tried to dig themselves out of a two-goal hole, but the Wenatchee Wild held on for a 3-2 victory.

A goal by Trey Bradley put Wenatchee up 3-1 in the third period, but Minot pulled to within one on Cameron Rowat's tally 12:47 into the third period.

The Wild were paced by Bradley, who finished with one goal and one assist. Bradley scored 1:54 into the third period to make the score Wenatchee. Troy Loggins picked up the assist.

Wenatchee put 32 shots on net during the contest, more than the 25.0 it averages per game.

Wenatchee additionally got points from Loggins, who also had one goal and one assist. Chris Koukis also scored for Wenatchee. Other players who recorded assists for Wenatchee were Corey Sikich, who had one and Christian Salvato, who had two.

The Minotauros forced the Wild goalie Mackenzie Sawyer to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots.

Minot was helped by Tim Donohue, who racked up one goal. Donohue scored 12:45 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Kirill Metlyuk assisted on the tally. In addition, Minot received assists from Jack Forbort and Scott Smoot, who contributed one a piece.

Wenatchee's Sawyer stopped 30 shots out of the 32 that he faced. The Wild incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Merrick Madsen rejected 29 shots on goal for the Minotauros. Minot incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
