In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Austin Bruins escaped with a 3-2 victory over the Minot Minotauros. Austin gained the winning advantage on a goal by Jay Dickman 15:41 into the second period and hung on until final buzzer. Minot's power play was ineffective against the Bruins' penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded. Austin was paced by Guillaume Leclerc, who had one goal. Leclerc scored 16:36 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Austin. Dickman assisted on the tally.
