MN Wilderness rides Kaskisuo to victory over Odessa, 4-1

Kasimir Kaskisuo had a standout game with 25 saves, and the MN Wilderness Wilderness beat the Odessa Jackalopes 4-1.

MN Wilderness was led by Brett Heikkila, who racked up one goal. Heikkila scored 7:17 into the first period to make the score 2-0 MN Wilderness. Tyler Hart assisted on the tally.

The Wilderness forced Odessa goalie Eric Hancock to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots. MN Wilderness did not rack up many penalties in the contest, racking up a minimal one minor for two minutes in penalty time.

MN Wilderness additionally got points from Zach Jordan, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. John May also scored for MN Wilderness. In addition, MN Wilderness received assists from Terry Leibo, Tyler Tatro, Jakob Romo, and Jack Brandstetter, who contributed one a piece.

The Jackalopes managed to stay out of the box better than usual, totaling one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Odessa finished below its season average of 23.0 penalty minutes per game.

Odessa also got a goal from Drew Gannon as well. More assists for Odessa came via Robb Stautz, who had one.
