The Wichita Falls Wildcats relied on the scoring touch of Kyle Bauman, who netted two goals, to beat the Odessa Jackalopes, 4-0. Bauman scored at 9:36 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Wichita Falls and again while on the power play 12:01 into the second to make the score 2-0 Wichita Falls.Wichita Falls' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Odessa power plays. The Wildcats' offense rang up 45 shots on Odessa's net. Max Reisinger also scored for Wichita Falls. More assists for Wichita Falls came via Josh Haverstrom, who had two and Sam Pzazza, Colin Staub, Tyler Ledford, and Kellen Wassell, who each chipped in one. The Jackalopes were led by Austin Murray, who took three shots. Chase Munroe made 18 saves for Wichita Falls on 18 shots. The Wildcats totaled 19 minutes in penalty time with seven minors and one major and went 2-for-4 on the power play. Yoshihiro Kuroiwa rejected 41 shots on goal for Odessa. The Jackalopes ended with 19 minutes in penalty time with seven minors and one major.
