Alex Husak scored the go-ahead goal in the first period, and Lansing Capitals 18U held off the challenges of San Jose Jr. Sharks 18U in a tough 4-3 win.

A goal 14:41 into the the first period by Husak proved to be the game winner, and powered Lansing Capitals 18U to the victory Keegan Weckesser assisted on the tally.

Sean Smalley had two goals to lead Lansing Capitals 18U to victory. Smalley found the back of the net 8:00 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Lansing Capitals 18U and again while 9:04 into the second to make the score 4-2 Lansing Capitals 18U.

Lansing Capitals 18U's offense rang up 37 shots on San Jose Jr. Sharks 18U's net.

Trenton Kulczyk also scored for Lansing Capitals 18U. More assists for Lansing Capitals 18U came via Tait Aptakin and Kieran Durgan, who contributed one a piece.

Peter Romanchuk picked up the assist. Trujillo's next tally made the score 2-2 with 7:11 left in the first period. Zakery Galambos assisted on the tally.
