The game between San Jose Jr. Sharks 18U and Phoenix Firebirds 18U was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end San Jose Jr. Sharks 18U emerged with a 4-2 win.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Robert Trujillo at 24 seconds of the third period.

San Jose Jr. Sharks 18U got the win thanks to a great game by Trujillo, who had two goals and one assist. Trujillo scored the first of his two goals at 16:54 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Robert Durst provided the assist. Trujillo's next tally made the score 3-2 San Jose Jr. Sharks 18U with 19:36 left in the third period. Mick Nisbet assisted on the tally.

Malthe Helt also scored for San Jose Jr. Sharks 18U. In addition, San Jose Jr. Sharks 18U received assists from Austin Elchinoff and Corey Semmelmayer, who each chipped in one.
