Esmark Stars 18U's Dalesandro deadly on offense in 5-2 win against San Jose Jr. Sharks 18U

Behind a great game by Carmen Dalesandro, who had two goals, Esmark Stars 18U defeated San Jose Jr. Sharks 18U, 5-2.

Dalesandro found the back of the net 4:19 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Esmark Stars 18U and again while 9:40 into the third to make the score 4-2 Esmark Stars 18U.

Esmark Stars 18U's penalty kill excelled, as Esmark Stars 18U gave up zero goals despite allowing eight power plays.

Esmark Stars 18U stifled San Jose Jr. Sharks 18U's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Esmark Stars 18U's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Esmark Stars 18U also got points from Tanner Gilliland, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Kyle Cunningham also scored for Esmark Stars 18U. In addition, Esmark Stars 18U received assists from Alex Pullekines, who had one and Adam Alavi and Cole Hepler, who each chipped in two.

San Jose Jr. Sharks 18U racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with nine minors and one major for 43 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 16.0 minutes per game San Jose Jr. Sharks 18U had been spending in the box.

San Jose Jr. Sharks 18U was led by Mick Nisbet, who racked up one goal and one assist. Nisbet scored 12 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 San Jose Jr. Sharks 18U. Robert Durst provided the assist. San Jose Jr. Sharks 18U also got a goal from Robert Trujillo as well.
