California Titans 18U vanquishes New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U in shootout, 1-0

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as California Titans 18U defeated New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U in a shootout 1-0.

The shootout lasted for nine attempts between the teams.

Joe Licata frustrated New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U's offense all game, and stopped 27 shots en route to a shutout. Licata certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 1.18 entering the contest.

California Titans 18U put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U to score on any of its eight power plays. California Titans 18U could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 30 minutes in penalties during the game.

New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six California Titans 18U power plays.
