Medeiros leads Omaha AAA 18U over Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks 18U, 5-0

Nathan Medeiros was all over the ice for Omaha AAA 18U, as he tallied two goals and one assist in Omaha AAA 18U's 5-0 win over Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks 18U.

Medeiros' tallies came at 49 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Omaha AAA 18U and 13:30 into the second to make the score 2-0 Omaha AAA 18U.

Omaha AAA 18U's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks 18U power plays. Omaha AAA 18U kept Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks 18U's goalie busy throughout the game, and Anthony Yamnitsky made 26 saves on 31 shots.

Ryan Fretwell also scored for Omaha AAA 18U. In addition, Omaha AAA 18U received assists from Tycho Falk, who had four and Tyler Doyle, Matthew Nehls, Ben Dewhurst, and Keanu Gallegos, who each chipped in one.

Omaha AAA 18U's defense shut down Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks 18U's forwards for much of the game, and Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks 18U got off only 14 shots during the contest.

Justin Ketola made 14 saves for Omaha AAA 18U on 14 shots. Omaha AAA 18U incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks 18U incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
