Huge game by Timmons boosts Esmark Stars 16U over Pursuit of Excellence 16U, 4-1

Jordan Timmons was all over the ice for Esmark Stars 16U, as he tallied two goals and one assist in Esmark Stars 16U's 4-1 win over Pursuit of Excellence 16U.

Timmons scored at 11:33 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Esmark Stars 16U and again while on the power play 52 seconds into the second to make the score 2-0 Esmark Stars 16U.

Esmark Stars 16U's penalty kill excelled, as Esmark Stars 16U gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.

Esmark Stars 16U stifled Pursuit of Excellence 16U's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Pursuit of Excellence 16U's defense shut down Esmark Stars 16U's forwards for much of the game, and Esmark Stars 16U got off only 12 shots during the contest. Esmark Stars 16U got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

Esmark Stars 16U also got a goal from Braeden Harbison as well. More assists for Esmark Stars 16U came via Kenneth Dee, Alec Bosnic, and Nikita Slivchenko, who each chipped in two.

Pursuit of Excellence 16U was led by Thomas Steven, who scored the team's only goal. Steven scored 5:43 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Esmark Stars 16U. Hayden Ostir picked up the assist.

Jonah Winnier rejected 24 shots on goal for Esmark Stars 16U. Esmark Stars 16U incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Colton Lancaster recorded eight saves for Pursuit of Excellence 16U. Pursuit of Excellence 16U incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
