Topeka rolls over Sugar Land, 4-1

The Topeka Capitals had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 4-1 win over the Sugar Land Imperials.

Topeka was led by Kole Hudson, who had one goal. Hudson scored 16:57 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Topeka. Alex Sauer assisted on the tally.

Sugar Land was unable to stop the Capitals from sending pucks towards the net, and Topeka eventually piled up 55 shots on goal.

Topeka additionally got points from Connor Nicholas, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Topeka included Jaydn Munnelly and Dante Juris, who scored one goal each. In addition, Topeka received assists from Austin Petrie, Brandon Hawkins, Spencer Sabourin, and Seth Kamrass, who each chipped in one.

The Imperials were held below their usual level of production. Sugar Land averages 3.6 goals per game. The Imperials' offense were handcuffed by the Capitals' defensive play, and Sugar Land managed only nine shots on goal during the game.
