Zach Collins had two goals and one assist to lead the Michigan Mountain Cats to a 4-1 victory over the Battle Creek Revolution.

Collins scored at 10:35 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Michigan and again while on the power play 12:41 into the first to make the score 2-0 Michigan.

Michigan's Walker Bass was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 26 saves and let only one puck past him. The solid play of Bass will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 4.27.

Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 12:58 into the third period. Six fighting penalties were dished out along with four game misconducts.

The Mountain Cats racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with 11 minors and three majors for 77 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 23.0 minutes per game Michigan had been spending in the box. The Mountain Cats excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in eight chances. Michigan kept Battle Creek's goalie busy throughout the game, and Tyler Babinski made 43 saves on 47 shots.

Michigan also got points from Max Vance, who also finished with one goal and two assists. Kenny Forton also scored for Michigan. Other players who recorded assists for Michigan were Austin Buchholz, who had one and John Arms, who had two.

The Revolution were often in penalty trouble, totaling 10 minors and two majors for 70 minutes in penalty time. Battle Creek surpassed its season average of 26.0 penalty minutes per game.

The Revolution were led by Forrest Walbeck, who scored the team's only goal. Walbeck scored 7:09 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Michigan. Austin Hill assisted on the tally.

The Mountain Cats registered two goals on six power play opportunities. For Michigan, Jacob Gleason and Buchholz were ejected from the contest. For Battle Creek, Dan Olson was ejected from the game.
