Max Whitney lifted the Wisconsin Whalers to a 12-1 victory with a hat trick against the Battle Creek Revolution.

Whitney notched his first tally 1:39 into the first period. He then added goals at 2:08 into the first and at 14:27 into the first.

Wisconsin led 5-0 after the opening frame the first period and maintained a healthy margin after.

The Whalers pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 29 penalty minutes.

Wisconsin made Revolution's goaltenders to work in net, taking 45 shots and forcing 33 saves. Tyler Babinski made 18 stops and Zach Kooi made 15. The Whalers bested their season scoring average. Wisconsin averages 4.5 goals per game. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

Wisconsin also got points from Ryan Martin, who also had two goals and one assist, Connor Morgan, who also finished with one goal and two assists, and Zack Johnson, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. Wisconsin also had goals scored by Jason Hoehn, who had two and Kevin Stone, Dan Addie, and Nolan Kepler, who each put in one. More assists for Wisconsin came via Adam Alcott, who had four, Nauris Buskevics and Alex Anderson, who each chipped in one, and D.J. Mussey, Easton Halbert, Tim Tarvis, and Connor Hyde, who contributed two a piece.

The Whalers' defense shut down Battle Creek's forwards for much of the game, and the Revolution got off only five shots during the contest.

Tyler Lewis recorded four saves for Wisconsin. The Whalers registered one goal on three power play opportunities. Battle Creek totaled 25 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 1-for-7 on the power play.
