Jude Hull was superb between the pipes for the Topeka Capitals, as he did not allow a goal in a 5-0 victory over the Sugar Land Imperials. Topeka was paced by Brandon Hawkins, who racked up one goal. Hawkins scored 8:09 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Topeka. Benton Deanovich provided the assist. The Capitals kept Sugar Land's goalie busy throughout the game, and Matt Douglas made 35 saves on 40 shots. Topeka also got points from Hardijis Kupaks, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Kole Hudson, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Georgy Ostapchuk, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Jaydn Munnelly also scored for Topeka. More assists for Topeka came via Trenton Faber, who had two and Joe Stoneburner, Nolan Stanley, and Nick Rizzo, who contributed one a piece. The Imperials excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Sugar Land was held below its usual level of production. The Imperials average 4.4 goals per game.
