Justin Fisher gave the xFlint Junior Generals a 4-3 (OT) victory over the Michigan Mountain Cats when he scored 2:13 into the extra period. xFlint overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Junior Generals trailed 2-0 after a goal by Michigan's Abram Prince at 7:28 in the second period. xFlint tied things up at 3-3 on a short handed goal by Brit Brothen at 16:27 in the third period. Conor Durgan and Fisher provided the spark for the Junior Generals, combining for three goals and one assist. Durgan racked up two goals and Fisher also added one goal and one assist. xFlint forced the Mountain Cats goalie Kevin OShea to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots. The Junior Generals could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 23 minutes in penalties during the game. xFlint additionally got points from Fisher, who also finished with one goal and one assist. More assists for xFlint came via Ryan Burr, who had two and Conner McGovern, Austin Fletcher, and Zach Koonce, who each chipped in one. Team could not crack xFlint's penalty kill and was held to one power play goal while having 10 opportunities to play with the man advantage. Michigan also got a goal from John Arms as well.
