The Topeka Capitals had a five-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 10-1 win over the Sugar Land Imperials.

Kole Hudson had one goal and two assists to lead Topeka. Hudson scored 5:35 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Topeka.

Sugar Land fell victim to a deadly the Capitals power play, which ripped the Imperials for four goals.

The Imperials were held below their usual level of production. Sugar Land averages 4.7 goals per game. The Imperials could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 32 minutes in penalties during the game.

Hull recorded 23 saves for the Capitals. Topeka incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Sugar Land registered one goal on six power play opportunities.
